Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 101 class (10:10-12 pm). The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get there) and 2) to practice our writing, reading, and thinking on a weekly basis in an informal setting.

Chapter saved response
In the chapter saved when Malcolm was coming to the question wether Paul was black same as Jesus’s I took it as a geographical stand point rather than religious. No matter how you look at it Jesus would have been a person of color being born in Africa( not saying everyone; skin color is up to genetics this is based on the area he was born) , Egypt. The sun on that side of the world is significantly stronger so more melanin would natural be produced. I see Jesus as a person of color due to him being born in Africa . Since everyone has a different interpretation of Jesus and you couldn’t really tell what color of skin he had if there’s no documentation of it. Personally it doesn’t affect my view of him based on all the good he has done as Christ and how people worship him. In the Bible Jesus is described to help the ones in need and give to others which is what made to be human. And to me that’s what makes up a person not skin color it’s his actions
