Finishing Up w/ ENGL 101

Since this is the last week of class and since we don't meet for a complete week, any entries you make on the blog this week will be extra credit. You can make any comments related to the course that you would like. However, I have a few questions:
  1. In what ways did ENGL 101 surprise you? How did it meet or complicate your ideas of what a college writing class would be like?
  2. What do you expect ENGL 102 will be like?
  3. What is one thing that you learned this term that you didn't know before?
  4. What was your favorite thing we did this term? What was your least favorite thing?
  5. Which of your classmates' writing did you admire the most--either during group crits or on Thursday's in-class reading?
Do you have any questions?

It's been a pleasure for me.

  2. 1. I think I have to make more effort to improve my writing. The idea a have about college writing before taking ENGL 101 was very different.
    2. For the ENGL 102 I think is about a poetry.
    3. Before I don't know how to formulate the thesis and organize a writing.
    4. I did not really have a favorite thing. I learned every day little thing throughout the semester even though the critical group brought me something more for my writing.
    5. During my group critique I really admire Shania Gonsalves. her writings give more ideas and well detailed.

  3. My time in English 101 surprised me by teaching me new techniques to use in my writing. I experienced reading new novels that were different from what I usually read. This is my first year in college and I loved my English class. I liked meeting my new classmates and getting their criticism on my work. I thought English 101 would have been more difficult but I loved how it opened my vocabulary and mind up. It made me not afraid to use my voice. I hope that I have a great experience in English 102. I love poetry and I heard 102 will teach us that. I can not wait to read more poetry because it is my favorite genre. I learned how to expand my details more because I would not fully develop them. I thought all my classmates had their own style to literature and I loved that. I loved my overall experience in English 101.
